Hi. This might be a basic question: I've got a full-length movie but only want to keep 3 minutes where a character sings. I'd like to crop everything before and after that song, and keep the remainder as a much smaller mp4 file (or similar). Can it be done in Garageband?

Oh, I meant to say that I've got the audio sorted--it's easy to create sections and then delete them. It's video I'm having trouble with.

GarageBand cannot trim the video, only the audio. Sorry.
If your mac is relatively new, it should have come with iMovie as well. If you have iMovie you could trim the the video there. That will give you a better video quality too.
