How do I delete podcast icons that remain after canceling the show/podcast?
iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4
same way you delete most of everything, swipe to the right or left and the delete button should come up
if you go to the main screen, there should be an edit button, go there and touch the ones you want to delete
For some reason, that approach doesn't work. Swiping for a DELETE option doesn't work. Within the podcast itself doesn't work. DELETING it from iTunes works in iTunes but even a sync won't remove them from the iPhone5. I'm stumped!
I'm afraid I'm going to have to resort to RESTORE from backup. I didn't want to have to do that. Takes too long.
Any other ideas?
I figured it out. DELETE the Podcast app. Sync. Reinstall the Podcast app. Yay! 😎

I have deleted all episodes of some podcasts, as well as unsubscribed from them. My iPod still has 12 of the same podcast's icon, as well as other icons for podcasts that have been deleted & unsubscribed. I probably have 25 icons showing and I am only subscribed to 1 podcast now.
Cindy? Try deleting the Podcast Application (not the podcasts) then reinstall the app.
