This has been mentioned before, but I'm making a new thread anyway.
Apple aren't fixing the bug, and they are asking me $20 just to talk or chat with them. This is ridiculous.
My external display doesn't work anymore either since 10.8.4.
I use a Apple DVI to Video Adapter to an old school 4:3 TV.
When will this get fixed? It's been a long time.

Maybe the adapter is broken/incompatible.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
Or you can use your Apple ID to register with this site and go the Apple BugReporter. Supposedly you will get an answer if you submit feedback.

This is just to say that I just had my motherboard replaced, and this issue is still happening.
A friend of mine has the same laptop and the same adaptor. Guess what: his external display doesn't work anymore since 19.8.4 either.
