Q: Find my friends app help

when i open the find my friends app, i login and it says "myappleID@apple.org check your email for instructions to verify this account" but when i check the default email on that phone, its not there.

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.3

Is the default mail on your phone the email address that you associated with your Apple ID?
