I have a G 5, I am not sure what OS. Yesterday it started up just fine, but after about 3 minutes is shut itself off. I can't restart it. The power in my apartment building was off the day before. The computer was pluged into a surge pertector. When I push the button to start it, I hear the normal click and see a red light flash on and off inside the tower, but it wont turn on. was wondering how to get it started again.
Also, nothing is coming up on the monitor.
Might be time to replace the PRAM Battery, 4 years is close to their lifespan, far less if ever without AC power, & can cause strange startup problems...

Darn it, do you have a way to test the PSU with a meter?

I think that is the problem.
If you don't know the model, find the Serial# & use it on one of these sites, but don't post the Serial# here...
