The picture says it all. I know that when an album has various artists, it shows up like that. But is there a way to remove it? Editing something in the iTunes code or somewhere? Because I find it very ugly. I just want it to show up as if it was one artist. Please tell me that's possible? Just a way to hide those names, don't even need to remove them, just hide.

Unless Artist=Album Artist for every track of the album iTunes will list the artist under every track name in that view. There isn't an option to change the behaviour.
Not really much you can do for Various Artist albums, but when just one or two tracks from an album feature a guest artist this information can be usefully put into the track Name and the artist made the same as the album artist, which will tidy up the display somewhat. Not really what I was looking for, but thank you for telling me that is not possible. But i find it very ugly, because the songs are too distant from each other. It makes the album look enormous.
Artists names showing under song title. Is there a way to remove it?
