    wellll...you didnt give much info, but is your power button responsive at all?

     

         if not you may have a hardware issue on your hands.

     

    if it's just the 'act' of turning it off but it works to put it to sleep, you can reset all settings in your settings>general>reset

     

    if all else fails, an update/restore could very well be in order:)
