Q: Problem: Updating Apple ID / Password

Hi Apple World,

 

I recently updated my 'Apple ID' and password and cannot connect to iCloud and Photo Stream on my iPhone. My iPhone cannot update my new Apple ID.  I cannot seem to type in my new Apple ID whenever my iPhone request my password to connect to iCloud and Photo Stream. Are there any solution?

BTW, I do not have the 'me.com' email address as my Apple ID, just my personal email address.

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.2

To change your iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID.  This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.

 

To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account.  To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

    This worked for me but I had to do this twice. The first time I chose to keep everything on my iPhone. That kept the account showing and I couldn't change it. The second time I chose to delete the information from my iPhone and that worked.
