While useing my ipad to play a game it suddenly went black, i rebooted it and all i get is the apple icon in the middle of the
screen when it comes back on. i pluged it in to see if it needed charged but nothing happend. has anyone else had this
problem? janhillak.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
I did do that, but the red slidder did not appear. Just the Logo
The red slider doesn't always appear, that's why I said ignore it if it does appear. It might be time to think about restoring the iPad iOS software if rebooting doesn't help.
I would try rebooting one more time and if you still only get the Apple logo on the screen, take a look at this. Pay attention to the last part of the article about using recovery mode. You might need to restore that way.
depending on the game, you'll probably have to uninstall and reinstall it...if that's not an option, contacting the app developer on the games download screen is usually helpful:)
