I have a 15 inch MBP from 2010. Just recently I noticed that when I play audio that is different on left and right speakers, it plays it on both sides anyway. I tried Youtube videos, iTunes music, different pairs of headphones, and the built-in speakers. Still it only plays like there is only one speaker attached. Can anyone help me?

System Preferences > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
Settings for the selected device:
Balance:
Make sure that the slider is set at middle.
Playing stereo as mono?

If a PRAM reset does not solve the issue, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar.

Thanks! I was searching for all the settings in the Sound system prefrecences. Funny, I don't remember changing stereo to mono in the first place.
I have no stereo sound on my MBP, speakers or headphones.
