Q: I Can't find the files transferred to my mac from my PC through migration assistant

Hi All,

I am just learning the ropes as regards tha Macbook Pro. I transfered my data from my windows PC to the Mac through the Migration Assistant. And Now, I can't locate where it was transfered to. Please where do I locate these files? Thanks.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities

Migration Assistant creates a new user with the migrated files. Go to  > Log Out, and log in the other user, so you will access to your files.

This can be voided if you transfer your files during the initial setup. See > http://pondini.org/OSX/SetupLion.html

Hi Mende 1.

Thank you for your reply. I did as suggested but I still did not find the files. I am thinking of manuallly transfering the files which honestly I am not looking forward to.

In that case, run Migration Assistant again. If this doesn't work, restore your data manually
