There may be some time window for Macs purchased before

Mavericks release, but that should not be a determining factor

on whether to buy a Mac now or not as the upgrade would only

likely be $20 ( this is what the Lion and Mountain Lion upgrades

were and really see no reason for that to change) or so unlike

the Windows $149 or more.


Bottom line, if you need a computer now, buy it now!
