Have you tried deleting the account from your device then trying to re-add it?

check your server settings under the advanced part of the account in mail contacts and calendars

Talk to your IT department...

Or if you're at University, talk to the computer team.

Most Uni's are using outlook.com as the server connection not mail.youruniversity.edu
