    Guys,

    I give up.  At least for me, Keynote will not create a transparent theme background.  I'll use the longer method.  Thanks for trying.

    I think that's correct, Jeanette. Tricks I've used in other apps to pull out transparent backgrounds doesn't seem to work in Keynote (I even tried creating a transparent QuickTime movie and then copying a single frame, and that didn't work either).

     

    The only solution there is is going to require Keynote PLUS some other app to actually create the FCP compatible transparency.
