Can I use the iTunes v9.2.1 library files from my iMacG5 on my new MacBookPro with iTunes v11.0.4 in order to preserve the info in the "Category" field from iTunes v9.2.1?

I want to preserve the data I entered in the "Category" field from my iTunes v9.2.1 library files on my old iMacG5 (10.4.11) so that it will show-up in iTunes v11.0.4 on my new MacBookPro (v10.8.4) and therefore I'm wondering if this can be done by replacing the iTunes v11.0.4 library files with iTunes v9.2.1 library files. The basic objective is to somehow maintain the data I entered in the "Category" field from iTunes v9.2.1 for use in iTunes v11.0.4. Perhaps I only need the old XML file or perhaps only the old "*.itl) file (but the old "itl" file from iTunes v9.2.1 of course does not have the "itl" extention. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Thanks Chris CA - When I run the library in the newer iTunes, I imagine that the new iTunes has no way of knowing about the text I entered into the Category field contained in the old iTunes library files. I wish there was a way to get this information into the new iTunes without having to enter it in again, but perhaps not.
