Two icons (the chess game and a Voice Program Icon showed up on my dock and I cannot figure out how to remove them.
All suggestions welcomed. I am new to MacBook Air.

Quit it and then drag it out of the Dock.

To remove an icon from Dock, first make sure that these apps aren't opened. Then, press the application icon in the Dock and drag it off the Dock, so it will disappear. Another option is to right-click the app icon and go to Options > Remove from Dock
Hold down the Command Key and Drag the Icon from the Dock.
If you use the drag method, pull it away from the dock until you get a cloud type symbol. You might have to go an inch or two.
