Im having an issue with the ipod 5 music application...

About a week or two ago i clicked on a song, and it started skiping forward and sometimes backwards. This EXTREMELY slows down the device and means i cant listen to my music. This continues in the lock screen but without cover art. Also when i leave the app. ( shows the little play icon in the status bar flickering). Yet when i go into multitasking and swipe to the left, it says im not playing anything. No music is coming out the speakers, and This is ONLY happening in the music app and in no other app.

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.3, 32gb

Close the music app in the multitasking bar. Then try again.

Restart/Reset/Restore your iPod. In that order.

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Unsync all music and resync

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
