ok so.. my macbook screen is gray i CANNOT change it and the dock... its gone idk how to fix it?

so i was cleaning my mac book today and i tried cleaning my Dock cuz it had 4 quetionmarks in it. so i tried resetting my dock and idk what i did but now my screen is all grey and my dock is gone. so i cant minimize pages anymore and i have to look everything up by tryping it into my mac. i no longer have finder nothing...... i really dont wanna restet the computer but if i cant fix this... i might just have to but i dont even know if that will fix it. so plz help!!!!!!
