Q: iPad/IPhone Bluetooth discoverability

My IPad 3 and my IPhone are set for Bluetooth on and are discoverable but they are not finding each other. Why would that be?

The bluettoth on either of those devices is not designed to connect to each other. They are designed to connect to bluetooth keyboards, headsets and car stereos.  This is why you are having trouble connecting, because you can't do it.

Again, you can not connect an iPhone to an iPad via bluetooth other than for tethering and that is slow.
