Feb 3, 2014 4:24 PM in response to Absyn77by Treatment,I would bet money it is the audio interface, or it is a condensor mic.
Do a process of elimination:
1. Start at the microphone: does the mic make noises if hooked into someone else' system?=NO then,
2. Get a new XLR cable. Still making noise? Then,
3. Try other inputs on your soundcard=same problem? Then,
time to replace the soundcard.
One thing to understand, is that digital equipment, as well as condenser mics are HIGHLY SUCEPTIBLE to humidity.
Humidity wreaks HAVOC on this kind of gear.
If you want an experienced ear, supply me with an audio sample of the noise.
It might be something as simple as GROUNDING.
