Macbook pro 13.3 inch white lines on screen

Okay my comp is not even one yr old and I am having some issues. ( purchased it last aug 2012 from best buy)

The thing is after a month it started to take 1-2 minutes to boot in jan 5 mins and now in june 7 mins.

Recently I have also noticed white running lines on the screen and a lil rainbow ball when i try to scroll down pages.

How do i rectify such problems?

It runs okay otherwise

Should i send it to the mac store?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

From what you say, I would think about a hard drive problem, but it's clear that something happens, more when you have the MacBook Pro with Retina display. The MacBook is in warranty, so make a backup of your files and take it to an Apple Store or reseller

True about the macbook retina display. I believe that would be the best option except it isn't that easy. I live in the Caribbean purchased it at BestBuy NJ last summer vacation. I would have to call the company first. thank you for yor input
