Q: how do i get out of recovery mode on my ipod 4g?

Hi i have a ipod touch 4g and its in recovery mode right now for about 12hrs. Ive been trying to restore and update it bbut it says, The ipod cannot be restored at this time because the ipod software server cannot be contacted or is temporaily unavalable. i have been restarting my computer, i reinstalled itunes,i ran it in administrator. its sort of getting me mad so someone please help. its running ios 6.1.3.

Update Server
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem
