Why is iTunes charging my credit card instead of taking it from my credit? It clearly shows at the bottom of the screen in the App Store I have $20 left on my credit from my iTunes card and the STILL take it from my credit card???

Were you by any chance purchasing a gift card? If so, it can only be purchased with a credit card. Gift cards cannot be purchased with an existing balance.
