No my main router is a talk talk router from the company I get my telephone and Internet from. It has given me another Internet connection but I want to extend the wifi I have as one bedroom does not get any wifi.
Unfortunately, the AirPort Express is not compatible with a Talk Talk wireless signal if you are planning to connect wirelessly. Apple's "extend a wireless network" feature only works with other Apple routers.
The AirPort Express would work with the Talk Talk router if you plan to establish a permanent Ethernet connection between the Talk Talk router and AirPort Express. If you can do this, configure the AirPort Express to "create a wireless network" using the same wireless network name, same wireless security settings and same password as the Talk Talk network.

If you put in the same credentials as your original router, you will be creating a roaming network but essentially achieve the same goal. You will not be able use the guest network feature. You have to make sure the apple router is in bridge mode. Or one of them....
Hi I finally got my internet extended but I had to buy a 2nd airpot express to do this. Thanks for all the help tho.
sorry to jump in the discussions, but I will like to know if , talking about hardware and not sofware, you just have to plug the airport express in the electric outlett, no other cables ?
