I got a new iphone and when I restored or synced from my last update, I lost my playlist. How do I restore it

My music is there, but greyed out so I cannot play it, and the last few songs are gone. When I tried to download a song again, it said I had to pay for it.

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.4

Ususally when music is greyed out on the phone you will find that when you go to itunes on your computer and look at songs in your music library the songs have a "!"beside them. If that is the case itunes cannot find the location of the songs on your computer and you need to point it again to where the songs are. Where they on an external drive that is no longer connected? If that is not it then try syncing the music again.

For information on how to sync music read this, this and this.
