Where do I go to recycle my laptop?

I have had my MacBook Pro for three years and it's time for a new one! I wanted to know where I could go online or in the Bay Area that would take my current laptop and recycle it for me. Thanks.

MacBook Pro, iOS 5.1.1, iPhoto

Recycle your computer or display free.

If all you want is to dispose of your unwanted equipment — regardless of brand — we can help you do that. Apple contracts with Sims Recycling Solutions to responsibly recycle computers and displays from any manufacturer. Just call 800-966-4135 to receive a free prepaid shipping label. Then pack up your equipment using your own box and send it off. For more information about Sims Recycling Solutions, visit oem.srsapp.com/ApplePoweredBysims/.

I dont know how "tech" you are, .......but more than a few of us crack open dead laptops, and hang the motherboard

and attached HD and memory on the wall as uber cool "wall art"

I find it impresses, and is a monolithic statement about technology. 😁

What better recycling than that? the casing and LCD, now most BEST BUY shops have recycling bins for dead "tech"
