After using migrating assistant (G3 10.5.8 to Imac mountainlion )my internet connection failes after half a minute.both on wifi and ethernet.
after doing a diagnostc test in systempreferences it is functionating for the same time.
does anyone knows a solution ?

Might be corrupted network preferences ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type of copy paste the following:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go then move the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
A new SystemConfiguration folder will be re generated for you after restart.

Might be something beyond Wi-Fi and Ethernet ...
Open System Preferences > Network > Assist Me > Diagnostics
If any of the buttons are red, click Continue.
when i click continue the two red dots from inernet and server are green and i have a connection and after one minute it stops and the two dots red. when i click again continue they becomen green again and after a minute they are red again.And so on.Its hopeless.
