My IPod Needs Major Repairing...

I need to use the "Restore button" but the ipod or the cord, (lol i repaired the cord w/electrical tape...) is possibly broken, and my ipod basically stopped working because i tried to update it and it stopped in the middle so when i try to turn it on, it shows a usb port pointing to an itunes symbol. HELP. I have 2 computers. I tried both. Neither worked. They work for about 10 minutes of the Update, but suddenly "crap out" aka disconnect... I cannot use anything on my ipod, because it got messed up in the update process. Is there any... Remote-Ipod-to-Computer/Itunes app? I cannot access the ipod, so i cant download any ipod-to-computer applications for ipod. I probably can however get it to wirelessly connect with a setting or a program, but I dont know... please help. Also I am not going all the way to somewhere to get a new cord, (unless nessicary) because it still charges in my ipod usb-to-wall plugin. its weird. Also i am not traveling to the nearest apple-fixing place to get my IPod Repaired. Thanks.

My computer stats:

Computer 1:

Name: Toshiba Sattelite C655D Laptop

OS(Operating System): Windows 7

Age: 1 Year and 7 Months

RAM (random access memory): 3.00 Gigabytes, (2.74 Usable)

Ghz. (GigaHertz): 2.20 Ghz.

Condition: Well, its Crappily Good. The USB ports have had some trouble, but they fixed themselfs. well i restarted the Computer and they worked with minimal, or a little bit of trouble. When i plugged my ipod in they worked, but again, after 10 minutes, the ports stopped recognizing things, or atleast the ipod.

Bit Processing System (I.E. 32x, 64x, 86x, etc.):

Computer 2:

Name: HP P2

OS(Operating System): Windows 8

Age: 6 Months

RAM (random access memory): 6 GB. (5.57 GB Usable)

Ghz. (GigaHertz): 1.70 Ghz.

Condition: Great (1 step down from like new) No broken parts.

Bit-Operating System (I.E. 32x, 64x, 86x, etc.): 64x Bit-OS

Bit-Based Processer: (I.E. 32, 64, 86, etc. ^^^): 64x-Based Processer

So anyways, i need an App to help me connect my IPod to my ITunes on 1 of my computers. I know if you are backing your IPod up, you can do "Sync Over WiFi" but its not giving me this option, for again, I cannot connect my IPod.

Again, Thanks....

- Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall.

- Next try the manual install method of:

iDevice Troubleshooting 101 :: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch

- Then try placing the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- Then try on another computer
