The install has started several times and then hung after 10-20 minutes. Any suggestions. On a Macbok Air late 2010. Thanks!

Need clarification first. Which OS are you updating from? Your system profiles confirms you are using

If your profile is correct, you need to purchase ML which will be an upgrade. If your profile is incorrect, please correct.
How much space left on the hard drive? How much memory in the MacBook Air? Have you repaired permissions and verified/(repaired) the boot drive in Disk Utility?
Have you selected and moved the contents of your local cache (~/Library/Caches) to Trash? I usually do this before the following, and empty the Trash between the Safe Boot and reboot.
You might do a Safe Boot and a reboot before further attempts to upgrade the machine. There are benefits to a Safe Boot.
