set a password on you phone.
Tap the power button to put the phone in standby and lock the screen.
I have a password and it still does it. Should I shorten the timeoput?
You could... Or you could just manually put the phone in standby by tapping the power button before you stick it in your pocket.
thats strange, how it the passcode you have set to unlock your phone being unlocked in your pocket? I have never had that happen to me.
It's not strange if you don't bother putting the phone in standby before you stick it in your pocket (or purse). My wife does it all the time...
I lock my phone all the time, and also have it password protected. Nevertheless, it has started pocket-calling recently.
restore iPhone
wrong answer. what would restoring it do to prevent pocket dialing?
You may have a software bug or a specific program not permitted by Apple installed. Try force quitting any running apps. But Pocket Dialing shouldn't really occur unless you have skin through pants on and your Phone app is on the foreground screen.
I disabled Siri dialing while locked. Hopefully, that will work.
My old 3 powered down so there was no risk of pocket calls. Hate my new 5
