Why won't my new charger sync with iTunes?

I have a "ESI Cases and Accessories" Model FD4009 charger it has swappable adapters (at least that's what I believe the term is for the charger's piece) and it charges when connected to the computer but the computer never detects it nor does iTunes. Does the way the charger is made prevents it from iTunes syncing?

It's always best to have official Apple supplies with your devices. If it doesn't work, it's probably faulty and you'll have to buy an Apple charger.

I would've bought an offical iPhone charger but they break too often.

If they're breaking too often, you might want to let Apple know about it. But for the sake of using your iPhone with your computer and charging, you certainly want to have the official wires.
