Jul 5, 2013 10:15 PM in response to adnardby Kappy,About AirPlay and Airplay Mirroring
AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). For non-qualifying Macs you can try using Air Parrot.

Mar 28, 2015 10:39 AM in response to Kappyby Jduffy40,Thx Kappy, but I have the 2nd generation Apple TV and Air Parrot. Non of which are being recognized. I open airport and it says searching for devices. It doesn't see the apple TV. Also my airplay icon is no where to be found on my apple desktop.

Jul 13, 2015 4:03 AM in response to Jduffy40by mariotheplumber,if you have the opportunity to test Airplay without the ATV connected to power then try it...I'm guessing that the Airplay icon will reappear on the device.
