Camera not working

I am using MacBook Air, camera not working, it says no camera connected when i try to use skype or FaceTime please tell me how to reset the camera

You can try a SMC reset, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

But probably the camera or cable from the camera has failed and you will need to replace the complete screen assembly to fix it.

Thanks for your reply, i tried SMC reset but still the cam dosent working, please suggest some other method to rectify the issue

There is no other solution. You need to take the system to a Apple store genius bar and have it fixed. There is nothing you can do about it the camera or cable has failed and will need to be replaced.
