My ipad mini & iphone appears in windows but not in itunes

Hi,

I know there are countless topics on ipads not connecting to itunes or windows but none of the ones ive looked at seem to solve the problem.

I have an ipad mini & iphone, both less than a year old an

Windows recognises that its plugged it, The ipad appears saying "not charging" as it usually does.

Ive checked that theres no issues with it in the devices and even uninstalled it and reinstalled the drivers.

Ive uninstalled itunes, and reinstalled.

Ive stopped and restarted my apple mobile device services.

All solutions that ive sound online havent worked.

I found the usbaapl64.inf file and even tried the right click "install" option but it just says "this INF file doesnt support this method of installation"

This error has happened before and was solved by reinstallling in the device managers section of the control panel.

I have a windows 7 64 dell xps 17 laptop. All apple and windows software are upto date.

The iphone however will sync over wifi (the ipad isnt set up to do so)

Any solutions would be welcomed.
