Yes, you need to establish a permanent wired Ethernet connection from one of the LAN <-> ports on the FritzBox router to the WAN "O" port on the AirPort Extreme.

Then, configure the AirPort Extreme to create a wireless network using the same wireless network name, same wireless security settings and same password as the Fritzbox router.

The last step to check would be to make sure that the AirPort Extreme is configured to operate in Bridge Mode, so it will function correctly on the network.

Thanks Bob. It seems to work now and the little green

light is on as well.

But the internet quality in the appartment has not

improved at all.

Seems like

Airport extreme only works with the DSL cable

since i tried to move it into another end of

the appartment and now the orange light blinks and

it gets no data.

do you have an idea how i can fix this problem?

thanks for your help,

Timm

Unfortunately, I do not think that you understood my answer above.

Permanent means that the AirPort Extreme must remain wired to the Fritzbox router at all times.
