Trying to open in CS5 and Aperture just hangs up.
Every time I try to open in CS5 Aperture just hangs up. I have to force quit.
This is all I see.
Same problem when going to Silver Effects
Aperture 3, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Sorry can't seem to get the screenshot to show up.
When did this start?
Could you use Silver Efex and Photosop CS5 with Aperture before, or is it the first time you tried?
What is your current Aperture version?
Since Aperture 3.4 plug-ins and external editors need to be compatible with sand-boxing - see this document:
Aperture 3.4 and later: Some third-party plug-ins are no longer compatible
Do you have the latest versions of the Nik plug-ins and CS5?
Yes I used that.
Not sure why it dosent show up.
Startetd last night. All was working and great before!
I havent added or upgraded anything in a long time.
Im using version 3.4.5
Whaen sending to CS5 it says Preparing and just hangs.
Whaen sending to CS5 it says Preparing and just hangs.
Does it happen for all images or only for the one you are currently working with ?
What filetype? Raw, jpeg?
Is your Aperture library on an internal or external drive?
If it is happening with all images, does it also happen, when you are editing from a new testlibrary?
Launch a Console (from Applications > Utiliies) and check if there are error messages, when Aperture starts to hang. Post a few messages here, from the time the hang occurs.
So a few system notes if it helps
I have 16GB ram
3.2 GHz i3
1t main drive.
I shoot RAW and keep the images on a Drobo
Only personal images on the main Aperture library. That library is on my main drive.
I have a lot of images I deal with. Last year I shot 88,000
I did get some files to open. I tested 4 RAW files from diffrent shoots
The first file opened up in about 2 min

Is your Drobo directly connected or a NAS?
And where you running music or video in the background? It looks like Flip4Mac were interfering. Is Flip4Mac the latest version?
Drobo is via firewire 800
Only thing running was Safari
I just updated Flip4Mac after your note.
