Ipad mini won't turn on? Tried everything?

Hiya,

So, I have an ipad mini. I've had it for six months and it was working fine twelve hours ago. I fell asleep, and when I woke up and tried to turn it on, it didn't. It was plugged in all night because it was on 4% the last time I saw it was working.

I tried replugging it, it didn't work.

I tried using the iphone 5 cord, it didn't work.

I tried pressing the home button and the power button simutaneously, it was still unresponsive.

I tried plugging it into my computer and trying to restore it.. but there's another problem. It won't sync to my computer, so itunes isn't able to read it at all.

Yes, I tried reinstalling itunes and it still remained unresponsive.

Any idea how it can be fixed? If at all?

Thanks,

Shaunie

Did you wait until the Apple logo appeared on the screen, or I should ask, did you hold the buttons down for at least 10-15 seconds?

If you mean that iTunes would not recognize the iPad, you can try restoring using Recovery Mode.

When you left it plugged in all night, were you using the power adapter and plugged into a wall socket? It seems extremely unlikely that the battery could be worn out after 6 months, but it could be a faulty battery or there could be some other hardware issue that's causing the problem.

If you tried recovery mode and the decide will not turn on at all, I would contact Apple ... Make an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar - and let them take a look. Your iPad is still under warranty and if there is a defect that is causing this, the device will be replaced...as long as the problem wasn't caused by accidental damage or misuse.
