Q: my roland Ua-25ex usb audio interface audio input no recognised by macbook pro running osx 10.

my roland Ua-25ex usb audio interface audio input not recognised by macbook pro running osx 10. ...the audio outputs are ok but the (audio in) input preference for the UA-25ex is greyed out and the sliders for input volume etc are disabled ... and I can only record voice by using the macbook pros onboad microphone not the usb interface

or do you just want to record to the mac via the roland?

while you ponder on, this article may or may not be of help. may because you're new to mac audio, may not because you're a seasoned mac audio dude, or dudette. or somewhere between.

thanx for your suggestions Cheeky.... the jump from pc to mac is not easy one and sometimes i wish for the good od days of the atari 1040 ste and midi ports and big fat unstable dongles !!!....The problems I had seemed to have solved themselves ..I had initially downloaded the wrong driver...and i now have garageband and cubase le6 cruising along nicely....and now if some cheeky person could just point me in the direction of logic pr09...

i have all the logics but i don't know them deeply.
i like some of the music files/loops you get bundled with it, there's plenty to get started.

no no ...ive been doing session work (guitar..keys ...beats...etc..) at friends setup for a while now so im coolwith ... now that i got my Big Mac.....im hunting down a copy ...looks like ill have to save up... rebels (torrent sites ) are being closed down at the moment
