Connecting a Bose Soundlink Air System to a Time Capsule Network

I have subscribed to a national provider for internet in Switzerland. They have sent me their Livebox (Wifi router) on which I plugged my Bose SondLink air system; everything worked properly.

I then plugged my Apple Time Capsule for which I created a new wireless network to which are connected all devices (iMac, MacBook Pro, iPhones, iPads ...) My BOSE SoundLink can not find Time Capsule network.

Bose Support tells me that

The Soundlink Air is a 801.11 G system and if Time Capsule doesn't allow this because of another use this might be the problem.

They also ask me to try to connect while WLAN router is not secured with a key and if my system is secured with MAC Filter?

I do not understand any of these questions. Thank you for your support

There is a good chance the TC is simply using the wrong names..

We have this problem with many devices.. but I do not know the specific of the bose system.

Make sure that the TC name, wireless name and disk share name all comply to standard windows networking..

That means short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.

A name can be as short as TC

The wireless name can be TC24ghz and TC5ghz

If you are having issues, yes, give a different name to the two different bands.

But let me also suggest you might not even have to do that..

Just leave your current modem router as main router and wireless working..

Plug the TC into it by ethernet and setup the TC in bridge mode with its own wireless.. make sure the bose connects to the modem wireless as it was when your system worked.. the TC will also work fine with Mac clients connected to its wireless.

The main thing is to bridge the TC.
