My macbook air will not boot! I press the on button and nothing happens but the fan starts to spin the immediatly stops! When i plug the charger in it charges is there anything that i can do?

Then you will have to either take it into an Apple store, or an authorized repair place.


If you press the power on and before you even hear the tone, you press and hold CMD-R does it still die or does it boot into the recovery partition? If it does you could try an archive and install (installing OSX over OSX). But if not, then really an Apple store is the only option that I can think of. Maybe the battery is shorted out somehow or the SSD is toast or the logic board is bad. Heck it could be a bad solder joint or a disconnected connector but you'll never figure that out without someone at Apple opening it up.
