I understand that you are having issues with iMovie on your iPad 2. If you have not already tried to do so, does restarting or resetting the iPad help the issue?:


iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

You may also want to close and reopen the iMovie application:
