HDMI to DVI on older display

I have a 2005 30inch DVI display that I would like to connect to my Blu-Ray player (HDMI). This older display does not have Mini DisplayPort, but I found an adapter (HDMI to DVI, both ends on adapter female) by Monoprice (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10419&cs_id=1041902 &p_id=2081&seq=1&format=4#feedback). Any reason this WOULDN'T work? (for video and audio) Its cheap, so I'll probably just get it and try, but figured I'd ask first as I'm quite ignorant about video adapters.
