Do the apple earpods/headphones with mic change volume of music also or just ringtone volume?
Please respond also how do you activate siri using the earpods/headphones with mic and how to place calls?

The earbud controls do change the volume (the top and bottom butons of the control). To activate Siri, press and hold the center control. And use Siri to make a phone call ("Call John Doe" for example). This of course assumes siri is available in your country, and is turned on on the iPhone.
