Wait a minute, if your Contacts are in Outlooks personal folders they never would have synchronized with your iPhone (that requires an online service such as Google or iCloud)

Which account (in Outlook) are they in.

I have around 3800 contacts in my Microsoft Outlook while iCloud has only 1400 contacts. So they do not sync at all. I don't use any other online services.

MS Outlook for Mac will not sync with iCloud, that's it.

No I am not using any online services. My contacts are in my ms outlook contacts. They don't sync with my MAC address book or with my iPhone. It was working well and recently I tried to sync my phone and lost all the contacts from the phone
