I bought 3 books while at work, on an iMac "authorized" for my iPad. When I try to sync them to the iPad, I am warned that all other media will be removed. They are not in my iTunes media folder at home; is there a correct or easy way to get these books transferred to the iPad?

An iDevice can only be synced with one iTunes library at at time.
There are two ways you get the purchased eBooks on the iPad. Download them directly onto the iPad from the purchase history via Wi Fi/3g, or wait till you get home, download the ebooks from the purchase history and sync them.

Thank you for the reply. Perhaps I'm showing my ignorance here, but....I find the books in my Purchase History, but I do not see how to download them to the home computer; I can only see how to "Report a Problem."

On the computer at home, in iTunes, go to the iTunes Store and click "Purchases" on the right-hand side of the page under Quick Links. Click "books" then "not on the computer." Click the download icon to the right of the ebook.
