Is there any alternative to Thunderbolt Cable?
Well, I simply can't afford £25/35 for a cable....its rather expensive for a stundent, especially when it is just a cable. So i would like to know if there are any alternatives to that?

Its NOT "just a cable" it has inline controllers at each end.
What is it you want to connect as all current Macs do have USB 2 or 3 as well.
i want to connect my Macbook to iMac and use the imac as a bigger screen.
Right target display mode then you DO have to use a Thunderbolt cable which is essentiallly an external PCe connector to control the graphics output to your iMac display.
Is there any alternative to Thunderbolt Cable?
