OSX Network Problem
Having upgraded to MountainLion my iMac won't open certain websites or does so very slowly. Any ideas please?

Care to list the web sites. What browser?

Safari Browser. ver 6.0.5
Web sites for example:
Waitrose.com
John Lewis .com
Edimax.co.uk
ciniworld.co.uk
Washington Post
Even Apple site very slow.
Got any Add ons or Extensions running that may be incompatible or need updating?
Nlo just Safari out of the box unless it came as an auto update, I havn't deliberately downloaded any extensions.
So not every web site just some?
Exactly. Curiously the secure bank website works fine.
While it is probably a waste of time, try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
I'd also try another browser and see if you get the same results.
