In Itunes 11.0.4.4 there is no Library button, so how can I get it ?

On the support site for recovering your previous purchased music there is a reference to a library button (with pictures and all), supposed to be located in upper right corner. Well I can't find mine, so how do I go about to find this library button ? anyone knows ?

If there isn't a Library button, then you may already be looking at the Library. Is there instead a button that says "iTunes Store"? If so, skip step 5. If you have neither the Library nor iTunes Store buttons, then either you have selected to show the Sidebar or are using iTunes 10.x, not iTunes 11, and in either case you can select the Music category under Library in the left-side sidebar, as per the instructions for using iTunes 10 in the article from which you came.

Again, where in the step-by-step instructions in the article from which you came are things failing for you? You appear to have solved the initial issue of the Library button, but say nothing about where you are now running into difficulties. Please tell us exactly where in the instructions you are encountering problems. Otherwise we can't begin to even guess as to what to suggest.

Confirm that re-downloading of music is available in your country's iTunes Store:

Music re-downloading is not available in all countries.


If it should be availalble, you're certain that you're logged into the iTunes Store account through which you purchased the music, and you still don't see a Music tab, go here:


http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/


and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

You've probably figured it out by now, but I thought I would reply, JIC. I was having the same problem after losing some TV shows after my hard drive crashed. BTW, I did have my computer backed up using Time Machine but when I had the new hard drive installed...backup of the new drive erased all of my previous backups. Probably my own fault, but a major bummer.


Anyway, in the fine print on the support article (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519) it states that you have to delete the file (or the old link to it) in your iTunes library. Once I deleted that file (right click, Delete), the cute (barf) little iCloud icon appeared and I was able to redownload the purchases. I hope this helps, or that you have already solved your problem.
