ML's network locations pane has an "Automatic" option. Did SL (10.6.8) have that option too?

My older iMac with 10.6.8 of course has the Network panel (under System Pref's) but I find no "automatic" choice in the "Location:" drop-down menu. My newer MacBook Pro with 10.7 does have that feature.

Could I have somehow deleted this choice in 10.6.8, or was that it never included in that OS?

Thanks

Lou

My MacBook Pro with 10.6.8 has automatic location. This is very likely a "portable device" feature installed by the operating system when it detects such a device, and not installed on "non-portable" Apple products. It have never seen anyone walking into a coffee shop with an iMac.
