Verizon visual voicemail problem iPhone 4S

My mom has an iPhone 4S through Verizon. The visual voicemail has never worked. When you click on voicemail, it automatically calls Verizon. People at Verizon don't know what to do. Any suggestions? Thanks, Bryan

Voicmail is a carrier feature, go back to Verizon and see if you can talk to someone else.
